Bill Holland

Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, has lived in Washington, Oregon, Vermont and Alaska.

Graduated from Seattle University with degrees in Marketing and Economics and from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Education.  Eighteen years as a classroom teacher and held twenty-five other jobs over the years.  Also owned and operated three businesses.

But that is all fluff; window-dressing and unimportant when compared to the real things in life.

Self-published my first novel in October, 2011, and currently working on several other writing projects.

Writing at one time was a hobby; it has since developed into a passion.  I try to capture the emotions in life but I have a long way to go; I try to find humor in most situations; some would say I have a long way to go in that as well.  I do know that writing, like music and art and photography et al, should move the reader.  Good writers actually stun their readers and that is what I hope for.  Thank you for following along and may the wind always be at your back.

Pleading to our readers and humanity. We believe we can make wonders together. H.O.W. was born from an internal need to help one another and be blessed by doing it!

How Did We Make it This Far?

We started as writers in this Website: HubPages...

We began to gather followers and we had a dream. We didn't know what to do at first!  Quoting Bill:

"There, I have said it; I do not feel better saying it, but at least I gave my demon a face, and that is the first step.

I have been so encouraged by the heartfelt comments I have received on recent articles about poverty and child trafficking, but I would expect nothing less from my friends and peers. Still, the problems exist, and I do not know what to do.

I have written about the 49.7 million Americans living in poverty, and I have tried to raise awareness, but still, I do not know what to do.

I have written about child neglect and abuse on Native American reservations, and I have tried to raise awareness, but still, I do not know what to do.

I have written about child trafficking and the plight of the veterans in this country, and I have tried to raise awareness, but still, I do not know what to do.

I have written about narcissism and greed in this country, and I have tried to raise awareness, but still, I do not know what to do."

UNTIL... FELLOW WRITERS RESPONDED TO HIS PLEA..

We are just a movement of people. This is a no-non Profit organization, thanks!
